We carry some pretty fabulous bags already so it had to be very special. We've been working with Tallahasseean, Jenny Bickley, owner of Honey Bee Fabrications, since this Summer, to get the right features. I can't count how many prototypes Jenny brought us as we sorted it out. When I say, Girl-Made Bags, we really mean it! Jenny guided us as we got it right:

outside zipper pocket, big enough for important notions
squishability; we wanted texture to the fabric and also wanted to be able to squish down into our larger totes/backpacks
big enough for several cakes of yarn
the right cinch, the right cord, easy on your wrist to pull tight and closes nicely
a light-ish, smooth cotton, lining, to see what you need inside
3 pockets inside for more notions, including 2 narrow ones for your awesome tool or pen
a handle that lets you grab it easily, hold it on your arm, 6" drop, and still be able to open the bag up wide
the all-important gusset, a rectangular bottom! 15" across, 9.5" tall, 6" deep

And back to Jenny, who guided us to a local-ish fabric printer. Chris and Eric in Panama City, Florida sent us a booklet of fabric options so that we could feel, squish, and hold the outside and the lining together, until we had just what we wanted. We chose a linen cotton blend for the outside and cotton for the inside. Then, right when we were hoping for a holiday delivery, their machine needed repair 🤦‍♀️. But what I tell all our makers, "it will be fine, we will love them when they arrive, we want our items filled with joy and not stress." After all, these are small makers who are counting on our small orders to make it through their year, we want them to be around!

This bag also boasts a very small carbon footprint, having traveled only 125 miles so far in printing the fabric and sewing the design. 🚚. Ilona, our illustrator is in Europe, all of that work was done digitally 💻

I have so much respect for the designers who make ALL the products we carry. This project was the highlight of my year and had SO many steps, I learned A LOT!

We decided to name it The Billie! There is the amazing queen goat in the center of our fabric (the best billy goat ever!) plus we're big fans of Billie Jean King 🎾👑 (It's reminiscent of our Copper Corgi Fiber Studio Savannah Sock in our custom color Billie Jean)

Due to hand-crafted nature of the bag, design placement will vary on the fabric.

How I'm kitting mine out . . .

Every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

Return Policy

To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item.

To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.

If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

Missed Coupon Policy

If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday

Shipping Policy

We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order.

If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.
